Martin & Cathy engagement San Diego / San Diego photographer

Back in 2005 January while exhibiting at the Bridal Expo in Calgary, I met a very enthusiastic couple, Martin & Cathy, we chatted and they said they just got engaged and are looking for a photographer for their wedding day. I asked them and when would their wedding day be, making sure that I am not booked up, since It is common for people to book me 1-2 years ahead of time......Cathy said, well we are getting married 4.5 years from now in 2010 summer! "Excuse me, When?" I said, yes its still a bit away! "A bit?" At this point I am thinking, these guys sure like to plan ahead of time. I honestly thought it was a joke and did tell them "why dont you guys come back 1-2 year before and will see if the two of you are still interested. About 6 months later they call me and say that they are ready to book!!!  :) They did! Most of the photographers told me, are you crazy? Your prices will change...who knows what will happen! Well, the way I see it is that "yes the prices has changed and are about 3 times more than what they paid, but is it always about the money? No, not for me. I am a photographer because I can put my heart and soul into my passion. I am honored with each couple no matter how far in advance they book me to be that special person who will create and capture their historical moment! For me It Is The Biggest Compliment if someone books me so much in advance. As the years have passed and did so fast since 2005, my skills have so refined. I am sure not the photographer they met 4.5 years ago. No not the same but much better! So thank you Martin & Cathy for investing your faith in me as your photographer. Their plans have changed in the last year and moved their wedding date as well as the location from Calgary to San Diego California. They asked me if I did not mind to shoot over there. I was more than happy to join them and create something super special!
