As a photographer I am fortunate to be a part of a couples most important day and have the privilege to capture all the joy, love and tears. During the year I am invited to capture lots of different cultural weddings, East Indian, Sikh, Chinese, Ethiopian, Middle Eastern. One of my favorites are Indian weddings, why? Well when I was young from age 9-15 I lives abroad with my parents in Kuwait, where I attended an East Indian School for my studies. It was an out of the world experience, being the only white kid on the block. I had lots of friends and I remember these days so vividly even now. I was supposed to learn Hindi and Arabic and English at the same time. It was extremely hard, 3 totally different languages. They spared me and made me learn just Arabic and English! I have grown up with all my Indian friends, listened to their music and watched the great Indian films. ( I am still moved by music and films) Indian weddings are meaningful, attention to every detail, the colors are out of this world and the emotions, well I tear up on a regular basis. Here is a short slideshow of one wedding, short I say cause Indian people celebrate for 4 days. 4 days equals to 1000-1500 photos / day so you can just imagine, pick a 100 that will fit a 5 minute song! Trust me, its almost impossible. This slideshow of one wedding is as short as I can make it, at the end a few shots from elsewhere! Please enjoy.
