The story of the Red Ferrari.... about 3 years ago or 2 (shooting way to many weddings to remember now) I have photographed Clint & Rachel's wedding in Calgary, where Brett was one of the Grooms man! At that time Brett happened to drive a shiny Red Ferrari, which of course we incorporated in the wedding shoot, super cool to have a wedding with a Red Ferrari in it!. After our shoot we left for the reception, when arrived I have heard that Ferrari was involved in an accident on the way back (nobody got hurt). As far as I remember it was the story of the night, Brett got rear ended by a pickup truck, which has left the scene without stopping!!!

Red Ferrari.jpg

There was no Red Ferrari at his own wedding but these 2 were so hot anyway that no red car could take the shine away from these two. Christine was super gorgeous and worked the camera and Brett with it, even when the wind blew her hair totally apart and there was no way to save it, unless you revisit a hair dresser, she maintained her cool. The photos with her hair flying around are actually my favorites. I often think why do brides put to much makeup and crazy hair does, when simple is always better. If anything else....ALWAYS HAVE A VAIL!!!

Congrats again to the two of you, you make a Fantastic pair! Thank you for sharing the best day of you life with me.

I am always a big fan of Lebanese, Iraqi or any Middle Eastern weddings, there is just so much going on and the air is full of energy! People within these cultures truly know how to celebrate and if it is a wedding, well it becomes just magical. Music and dance is a big part of the celebrations and oh my, I can tell you....no you can experience it by watching this Video I shot during the wedding! ANDRAS! You shoot video as well? NO, hold your horses, there are Videographers for that, I just do it for fun when I have the time to do a bit of Fusion (photography/video). Okay, so the man with the Tabla, Djembe or Darbuka is non other than CHARLIE K!!! Charlie was part of the Bridal party as one of the Grooms man but Charlie also happens to be an amazing or actually there are no words for that drummer! So just watch this Video and have your SPEAKERS ON!

A couple that truly appreciates their heritage and is in love with my photography is a perfect match for me! Easy to work with and super organized, Freddy & Miranda is that couple, Freddy called me almost every day...making sure everything was good and that I am still their wedding photographer!  :)

I loved it when he said!  "Andras, its Freddy, Freddy & Miranda, you are shooting are wedding, next month, next week , in a few days, tomorrow!" He was so excited and so was I!

I truly enjoyed this wedding, the couple, their families, friends the bridal party both the girls and the boys, the amazing music & dance.

I am blessed and grateful to be chosen and to document an important event like this, I enjoy what I do and create...and there is still so much in me, ready to amaze!

Thank you to DJ Johnny Takla for the great music (truly good beatzzzz) and Charlie K for his performance!

John & Patricia was referral from John's sisters wedding I photographed about 4 years ago, when John emailed me he was in Boston and Patricia was in Edmonton. John was very specific on what he wanted and was looking for....and I am all up for that! I am confident in the work that I do and willing to work with my clients on anything that they wish!
There maybe other photographers that cringe on the request to give RAW files to their clients but isn't that the same when you got the negatives in the past?

"Hi Andras,

I was wondering if you would (personally) be available to shoot my wedding July 3, 2010.  I am actually the brother of Yolande Roemer.  You may remember shooting the wedding of Yolande and my brother-in-law Dwayne Roemer a few years ago.

I have always liked Yolande & Dwayne's photos, and I recently found many more great shots going through your galleries.  My fiancee and I were looking at your Full Day Coverage package .  As a keen amateur photographer myself, I wanted to ask about the high-res digital files included in this package.  Can these images be provided in RAW format?  I have spoken to some photographers who seem quite reluctant to do this, which on some level I can understand.  I think there's some fear that their images will be shoddily manipulated and presented in a way that would reflect poorly on their photography, and of course the loss of revenue on prints.

However, from my perspective it makes me cringe to think that the beautiful files that a skilled photographer with a good DSLR camera is able to create will eventually be destroyed (or at best archived as JPEGs) and the details from my wedding along with them.  As someone who likes to manipulate his images and see the maximum beauty that can be extracted from them in the translation from RAW to print, working with a lossy, 8-bit file format that loses a lot of detail and dynamic range just seems a tragedy.  My fiancee and I would undoubtedly want to buy some of your own prints, as we quite like your skills as both a photographer and a photo editor.  I seem to be so busy these days that it would probably be some time after my wedding before I was able to really sink my teeth into the images to make prints of my own."

I had no problem granting Johns request...and he was happy! Isn't that our goal!? Mine is!

Lars & Angie or....Angie & Lars? WOW! This wedding was a dream and I have to be careful to what I right here as I will get knocked on my head from my previous couples. I love you all and all of you and your weddings were Dear to my heart..trust me. Just once in a while on a full moon I have something special happen. Why? Well every wedding is different and every couple is different, I have fond memories of all my past weddings...but, this one was just different.

For one, Lars is a photographer so picky by nature on who is going to shoot his wedding and how!? I know myself, I dont like my picture taken and he felt the same way on the pre photo shoot (a must for everyone, that hires me as their wedding photographer) I had to work the guy, mentally and some times with force...he was a bit hard to sculpt but came along just fine and when the wedding day came, with help from a friend (glass of beer or two, Lars?) he was all game. Now on the other hand ANGIE, must have gone on the wrong career path, cause that woman worked the camera like there is no tomorrow!

The point is, they wanted someone special to photograph their wedding day and they choose me! Was it a good decision? Judge for yourselves, I know they loved what they saw so far....and I could not be any happier with the results.
Getting ready photos at Hotel Arts, makeup by Aga Bona, fab wedding ceremony at Cilantros Restaurant...shooting around Calgary. Weather as usual!

When i was searching for a photographer, I looked at many different online portfolios. The images that I saw of yours Andras, really stood out. I liked the way in which you played with reflections, and how you told a story with your images. They leave something to the imagination. After viewing the images from the wedding, and the pre-wedding shoot with Angi, I'm happy to say, even yell, take out bill board ad, that I would not have picked anyone else for this special day in your lives. Thank you again Andras, I can't wait to see all the images once we get back from BC.

The bride's 'To Do' list is generally longer when it comes to organizing a wedding. But, I knew Lars would be able to handle the job of finding the photographer - I trusted his perception and understanding of what a great photographer would be based on portfolio. Me, I just wanted some interesting and coooool photos of us.
I was really impressed when Andras called us back from a location shot - in CUBA !
From the engagement session, pre-wedding (the sexy photos the groom REALLY wants), wedding day, ceremony and party afterwards, Andras you gave us something that truly is us. Thank you for these beautiful and unique memories. Angi
